The Evolve CIMA: A Lightweight, High-Performance Frameset
The Evolve CIMA is a new frameset that has already made a strong first impression. With a focus on lightweight, high-performance framesets, Evolve has quickly established itself as a brand worth watching in the performance road market.
The CIMA arrived well protected, with the frameset and components carefully secured to prevent any damage during transit. The attention to detail in the packaging gave confidence that the CIMA was treated as a high-end frameset.
The quality of the finish, clean lines and overall attention to detail give the CIMA a much more premium appearance than its price point might suggest. The carbon layup looks incredibly clean, the frame shapes are modern and aggressive, and the integrated design gives it the appearance of a much more expensive race bike.
The one-piece cockpit only adds to the sleek aesthetic, creating a clean front end with minimal exposed cables and a very modern race-bike appearance.
The Evolve CIMA was easily one of the nicest and most straightforward framesets I’ve worked with. Even with an integrated cockpit, the process was surprisingly simple. Everything lined up perfectly, the hardware was high quality, and the small details that can make or break a frameset build had clearly been considered.
The CIMA feels like a bike designed with speed in mind. The position is aggressive without feeling uncomfortable, the frame feels very responsive when pushing the pace, and there’s a noticeable sense of stiffness when putting power through the pedals.
The Evolve CIMA offers some serious value. With an RRP of just $3,499 for the frameset and $549 for the KREUZA integrated cockpit, it is a thoughtfully designed performance frameset.
A full review will follow once we’ve had more time aboard the bike, but so far the CIMA is shaping up to be an impressive platform for a high-performance build.
